(Heads up: This post contains some affiliate links, but all thoughts and opinions are my own and I wouldn’t be including ANY of these links if I didn’t truly believe in every product.)
So I know how scary it can be to invest money into your blog. You might be just starting out or you don’t think it’s worth it to shell out money or you figure you’ll learn strategies without having to spend money. I know – because I thought the same exact thing.
Last year, I finally started to invest more money into my blog (besides spending money for my domain/design/hosting, which I did a few years ago). I finally signed up for LeadPages, got a (paid) MailChimp account, got BoardBooster (affiliate link) for my Pinterest account and started paying for ads on Facebook and Pinterest and invested in some great online blogging courses. Ya know, it takes money to make money – all that jazz.
I had been following Melyssa Griffin for years – she always shared great blogging advice and I love all bloggers who have cute dogs. I attended one of her webinars back in the fall and loved her tips on using Pinterest to grow your blog. I’ve been a Pinterest addict since way before I even started my blog. I’ve always loved using Pinterest for my personal interests and I’ve had a pretty decent sized following for awhile.
BUT since I started using Pinterest mainly for personal reasons, I never really fully used it to its full potential with regard to growing my blog. I just pinned random things and saw pretty much zero growth in followers. Oops.
So when I heard about Melyssa’s Pinfinite Growth course (affiliate link), I was suuuuuuper excited. I already loved using Pinterest, so learning techniques to also use it for growing my blog? Sounded too good to be true!
If you haven’t heard of the course yet, let me tell you – it’s the perfect way to fix your pinning strategy to benefit your blog, get more followers/repins and lots more blog traffic too. Let me just share a few screenshots so you can see the growth I’ve experienced…
This is how much my Pinterest account has grown – Yep, over 4,000% growth in daily impressions! (That’s even with me slacking a bit lately too – oops.)
But even CRAZIER (I mean, seriously crazy) – look at this screen shot of my click throughs on Pinterest since I took the course at the end of September. Yep that is over a 25,000% increase.
And one more little screen grab to show you my results. This one shows my average monthly viewers on Pinterest. Back in September, it was under 200,000 and now it’s well over 600,000. Bam.
A last statistic for you is this. When I started the course back in September, I had about 3,900 Pinterest followers. I now have over 7,500 followers and it’s growing everyday. This course taught me a ton about using Pinterest to grow my blog and reach new readers. I’ve implemented the course strategies to grow my Pinterest reach and the other changes I’ve personally made on my blog have helped me to see major growth in the last six months. This course was the perfect kick in the pants to improve my pinning for sure. If you’ve been wanting to improve your Pinterest game, definitely check it out!
