Fall crafts time! Well, sorta. Last week I made a super easy fall pom-pom wreath. I wanted some more non-traditional decor for the house without having too much. I just bought a bag of cheap pine cones ($5.99 for about 2 dozen) and plastic pumpkins ($3.99 for 6), both from Garden Ridge. The pine cones were just typical (forgot to take a photo) but the pumpkins looked like this -
Then I went wild with some black spray paint, gold spray paint and glitter (duh) and now they're prettier. Weeee.
I just mixed up the pine cones and pumpkins in a large bowl for the dining room table and then in that cake stand thing (which are kinda hard to see). Done and done.
You all doing any more fall decorating? Or more traditional Halloween decor? I wasn't feeling full-on Halloween-y decorations this year so it's nice that this pine cone/pumpkin stuff can hold us over through Thanksgiving. Lazy holiday decorating? Sign me up!
Hope you all have a great weekend. I'm going on a "field trip" with my photography class this weekend which I'm looking forward to and should be a great learning experience. Can't wait to share the photos!
