new pillows

How was everyone's weekend? We went on another ski weekend with friends, so I'm playing catch up now.

I talked last week about finally getting a few new pillows. I still need to get some more but it's a start. We were dealing with the blah pillows that came with the couch for the longest time.

This couch isn't my favorite but we just got it last year, so we aren't ready for an upgrade for awhile. We wanted something darker that wouldn't show dirt or footprints from the dogs, but instead it shows all of the crazy amounts of pug hair. Oops. Can't wait to get a new couch in a few years. But in the meantime - it's neutral and easy to dress up for now with new pillows!!

The black and white pillows are from target and I think were $16 including the pillow inserts. I'm excited that the pillow cases are removeable and washable. The blue one is from Pier One and was only $16 on sale. It just sucks that it isn't washable.

Here are a few other little things I got last week -

The above vase/vessel is Nate Berkus from Target. I hadn't gotten any of the stuff from his line, so I was excited to get this. The plant and planter are from Target. Love a little pop of pink! (And yes, I put them on the coffee table just for the picture ha. They won't live there though because I have fat dogs who like to run into the coffee table and knock things over.)

I got this gold tray from Pier One - it was only $8!! That is a postcard from Brighton, England I got when I visited there back in 2006 or 2007.

And another new plant and planter from Target. I figure it's safe to buy cheap plants, so if I kill them, I don't feel too bad!

Where is your favorite place to get fun pillows?? How was everyone's weekend?

  1. The pillows accent the couch perfectly. Very nice. Plus, it just looks so comfortable...to the point where I just want to jump on them. ;)

  12. The blue pillow is the perfect pop of color! Try Society 6 for (relatively) inexpensive pillows - its pretty awesome you can get almost all of the art printed on pillow covers and they sell the inserts too! xx
