Guily Pleasure Wednesdays {Downton Abbey}

Another "guilty pleasure" I'm not guilty of embarrassed of. I should probably change the name of this series since I generally feel no shame or embarrassment.

Anyways, Downton Abbey is great and lot of other people agree with me so I must be right. First up, I must admit that I am an unabashed Anglophile, so this is right up my alley. I did study abroad in London my junior year of college and loved it. In fact, I loved it so much that I moved to London for 9 months after college and worked there. It was the best and I'd love to share some bad-quality photos.

This first set of pics is from study abroad when I was twenty. 20. Whoa.

  

And here's a few from after college when I was twenty-two. Ah 22!! How time flies. Oh and the second one below is actually in the Louvre. This was before I had a digital camera so excuse the horrible scanned photo quality. And the fact that I have barely any photos saved on my computer. 

I really need to go back through my touristy photos and attempt to scan half-decent versions of them. Sorry for the pre-digital quality! Now onto some fancy pictures of actual fancy things, aka Downton Abbey beautiful-ness. The show is filmed at Highclere Castle in England and the rooms are gorgeous.

Also if you like Downton Abbey, you might like Snobs, which was also written by Julian Fellowes. I read the book awhile ago but I really enjoyed it. It's about more modern-day social stratification in England
