That was them on the way from Jarrod's parents' house to my parents' house on Christmas morning. We spent Christmas eve with his family and the pugs were going nuts being lavished with presents and snuggles. Also, yes, I got a little overzealous with the picmonkey-ing, but so cute!! We spent Christmas day with my parents and were planning to spend the night there but there were predictions for crazy snow overnight, so we headed home. Of course that meant it did not snow at all over night, but instead waited until I was at work on the 26th to snow like 6 inches in 3 hours. Fun! Did anyone else get crazy snow this week?
Anyways, I have been slacking with the posts lately due to the holidays and being back at work. But, we have finally decided to get a new fridge asap. Ours is the worst and leaks and I hate it and want to punch it in its non-existent face everyday. Yeah. We want to re-do the whole kitchen eventually, but aren't ready to do that just yet (especially in the winter). We got a Home Depot gift card for Christmas, so we think now would be the perfect time to at least get the fridge.
BUT we can't decide what kind of door setup to get, so I'm looking for some advice. Here are all the options -

These aren't necessarily the brands we're considering, but just wanted to show some different ones. Speaking of, do you guys also have any advice regarding brands? I haven't bought many (i.e. any?) major appliances in my life yet, so am not particularly brand loyal so far.
Leave me comments on what you like/dislike about any of the door styles and/or brands. I need help!!

I have always heard that Frigidgaire is a great brand. I have one for the past 2 years and it hasn't given me any problems even after tons of power outages. I have a classic top freezer and it works for me. Good luck on your decision!
ReplyDeleteI got in that crazy snow too yesterday. It was horrible and of course my job lets me go in the worst of it. Glad you had a great Christmas! =) Your pugs are too cute!

Love that picture of your pugs... SO CUTE! Glad you had a great Christmas! Careful driving in all that snow! We got a good bit here too!
ReplyDeleteI like the last style you posted with the bottom freezer. I've found that the french door style make space limited and is too small for us.
I think I looked exactly like your pugs two hours after our Christmas feast haha! I adore the french door refrigerator.
ReplyDeleteI like French Door style, personally. The only style I'm not a huge fan of is the top freezer -- not enough space and stuff gets lost. We have a side by side now and I'm happy with it!
ReplyDeletethanks all for the input... i know i definitely don't want a top freezer, so i think we'll have to check out the options in the store. can't wait!!
ReplyDeleteI just bought mine and we went with something similar to the first one. I really like the having the bottom freezer. We had the last on in our previous place and that was great too! I feel like bottom freezer is more the way people are going now.
ReplyDeleteIt was my DREAM to get one with the bottom freezer drawer but hubby [then fiance] talked me into a side by side and I reaaaaaallly wish we had gone with the bottom freezer. Just try to picture all of your usual fridge freezer staples and how they will fit in each one, good luck fridge hunting! :)
