Credenza Reveal

I talked about buying a credenza at goodwill a few weeks ago in this post and this post. Here's what she looked like when we brought her home from Goodwill:

And here was my inspiration photo from Little Green Notebook:

We moved her up into the dining room this week and here is how she looks!

It is actually the same color as the inspiration one (Safety Red by Rustoleum), but it looks a little different with the lighting in our dining room and my camera. I also took the above picture at night and some of the others during the day.

Isn't that little castle the coolest? It opens up and has a booze bottle and shot glasses inside. It belonged to my grandparents and I just love it. Also, the black tray is from Ikea and I think I got the tree at Garden Ridge last year.

Candle from Bath and Body Works, tray and teapot from Pier 1. The vase is an old jelly jar.

A view of the room now - finally coming together! Next up changing the horrid "curtains" that I am too embarassed to show until they are replaced. You can also see our little Christmas tree in the corner. This was our little tree from our apartment, so it works well in his corner. I'll show our big living room tree soon.

Thanks for checking our my big project reveal. This was my FIRST furniture makeover and am I unnaturally excited.

Have you done any furniture updates lately? Would you have a white tree with blue lights and crazy colored ornaments like me?
